It’s fun

It’s joyful

It shifts energy, for you, for others nearby, and in your surroundings

It raises your spirits, and the spirits of people listening

It transforms emotions

It creates connection

Singing exercises your lungs and helps with breathing

Stress relief – music can help us move from a place of fear and anxiety

The multi-tasking involved in music making provides distraction for the mind

There’s a sense of achievement from learning something new

Neuroplasticity – making music builds new neural pathways

Music can create transformation – when all we’re doing is making music!

So, what are you waiting for? Want to get started playing?

I’ve taught hundreds of people to play ukulele, and I’d love to teach you, too.

Hi, I’m Alice

I’ve been in love with the ukulele since my mother, Sue, taught me three chords when I was six.

I teach ukulele to people all over the world via Zoom and Skype. If you happen to live in Hamilton, New Zealand, I also teach in-person classes.
