This document sets out the Terms and Conditions you need to be aware of when using this website. Please take a moment to read them, as they set out your important rights and obligations, and I care about making sure we both know where we stand. When you visit this website, use my services or purchase my products, you agree that you are over the age of 18 and willing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you don’t accept this agreement, you should not continue to visit this website (or purchase from me).
Please note that I do not provide ukulele lessons to children. If you are under 18 these lessons are not suitable for you.
All of the products and services advertised on this website are offered in compliance with New Zealand Consumer Law. You can read more about your rights here: https://www.consumerprotection.govt.nz.
On this website you will find articles and information related to my music business. This material is provided solely for information and education purposes.
Downloads: I am not responsible for any viruses or other damage which might result from downloading material from this site.
External links: I include external links on this website in good faith with the intention that they are helpful to visitors to my website. I do not take responsibility for the content of any external sites that may be linked.
On this website I provide articles, posts, downloads and links to book ukulele classes and self-study courses.
My material has been created out of more than 50 years of study and experience as a musician and teacher, including 15 years of classical music training and 30 years playing in rock bands, folk music ensembles and other musical genres. I also have postgraduate training in music as expressive therapy.
My articles, courses and self-study material are intended primarily for adult learners.
All text and images on this website are copyright to me, Alice Bulmer, unless otherwise stated. No portion of this website may be copied or replicated in any form without my written consent.
I have done my best to ensure that nothing on this website infringes anyone’s copyright. If you see something on the site that you think infringes copyright please contact me.
On this website I post links to Youtube tutorials. In these videos I only claim copyright to the performance, not the music.
I accept payment for classes via Paypal and direct bank deposit.
Full payment is due before the start of a block of lessons or classes.
All class, lesson and gift packages are valid for six months from date of purchase.
Ukulele lessons are delivered online via Zoom, or in person in Hamilton, New Zealand.
I will send a reminder notice the day before your lesson.
Rescheduling group and individual lessons: If you need to reschedule a lesson more than 24 hours before the time, you can do this online via my Acuity bookings system, or by emailing me email@example.com. I am unable to reschedule at shorter notice than this.
If you don’t turn up to a lesson and don’t let me know in advance, your lesson fee will be forfeit.
Self-study packages are delivered online via email and via password-protected pages on this website.
Ukulele class packages
If you withdraw from the class one week before the start date, your payment will be refunded less $15 admin fee.
If you wish to cancel with less than a week’s notice due to an emergency situation, please contact me to discuss this.
I will refund the full price of the course, less $10 admin fee, with no questions within two days (48 hours) of purchase.
After that there will be no refund.
If any of the documents or links that I have provided in my services or self-study courses cannot be accessed with your computer system, then I will work with you to try to resolve this within 7 days. Alternatively I will offer you a refund, depending on how much of the course you cannot access.
Terms of sale:
The self-study courses are intended for the use of one person, or up to three people accessing the same computer. They are not transferable to more people.
Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
My main place of business is in New Zealand. These Terms and Conditions are subject to New Zealand law.
If you have any issues or complaints relating to material on this website and/or my services or products, please contact me. I undertake to negotiate with you and make a genuine effort to resolve any problems to the satisfaction of both parties.
